Ngorongoro Farm House

Ngorongoro Farm House is a small and exclusive lodge facing the Oldeani Volcano, only 5 kilometres from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area's Lolduare gate.

Ngorongoro Farm House provides an original experience reminiscent of the atmosphere of yesteryear.

Ngorongoro Farm House was inaugurated in February 2003, and offers 50 huge cottages with ample space inside. Each cottage is built on the style of an old colonial farm house and rustically decorated with local materials and full of details of good taste, with the purpose of offering clients an imaginary journey to the life of days gone by.

The main building at Ngorongoro Farm House, covered with an elegant thatched roof, contains the reception, bar, dining area, library and lounge with a fireplace where guests can enjoy a rest during the cool evenings in the highlands. Guest areas are completed by a swimming pool with superb views of Oldeani Volcano and a craft shop.

There is an organic vegetable and flower garden that covers some acres. Guests can enjoy excellent home made cuisine using the dairy and fresh vegetables produce by the farm all year around.

Ngorongoro Farm House is the perfect stopover within any safari in the Northern Circuit of Tanzania and a privileged place to visit the Crater or enjoy a bunch of activities: Like a walking safari to the adjacent forest leading to the Oldeani Volcano or an excursion to the nearby Lake Eyasi in the Rift Valley, still inhabited by a tribe of hunter-gatherers, the Hadzabe, a relic of ancient times who still follow a style of life similar to the humans who inhabited the Earth before the discovery of agriculture.

A visit to the village of Karatu or the Njia Panda school, rehabilitated with the contributions of our clients, can also make the day of anyone interested in cultural interaction or in helping to the development of the rural communities of Africa.
