NXABEGA SAFARI CAMP
Nxabega Safari Camp is a luxury tented camp situated in a private wildlife concession of 8 000 hectares to the southeast of the Moremi Game Reserve in the centre of one of the most unique regions in the world, the Okavango Delta. Renowned for its lush waterways and abundant wildlife, the Okavango is home to a number of aquatic and land species, including the large African predators.
From under a canopy of African ebony trees, Nxabega Safari Camp faces out over expansive lagoons and channels. With expansive Okavango views, nine exclusive tented suites are strung out on either side of the handsome thatched guest areas of the camp. Burnished teak floors and a lofty roof frame the sitting and dining areas. Private bush dinners, breakfasts in bed, lamplit cocktails on a river island or a walking safari with al fresco picnic are provided with pleasure by Nxabega's warm and friendly staff.
Nxabega Safari Camp is known for its elegant tented accommodation with breathtaking views of the ever-changing Okavango Delta. Nine tented suites create an experience that is rugged yet luxurious, blending the remoteness of the breathtaking setting with utter comfort and style.
Raised on wooden platforms, the spacious tented suites let in the sights and sounds of the African bush. Escape the heat of the day with a dip in the pool or take in the sun on the broad viewing deck looking out over reeds and floodplains. Cowhide rugs on the floors and chocolate tones warm and gratify, while large spinning fans keep the heat at bay. A large ensuite shower with burnished teak floorboards refreshes and renews, while private wooden decks invite you to contemplate the water's edge.
Meaning 'Place of the Giraffe', Nxabega is ideally positioned to explore the magnificence of the Okavango Delta. Nxabega Safari Camp combines more than just two worlds - the exceptional Big Five game viewing experience of Botswana's lush grasslands offsets the intricate detail of the hidden world of the Delta's waterways, while the simplicity of canvas merges with the elegance of an exclusive club.
The Okavango Delta includes a wide variety of ecosystems; channels, lagoons, shallow wetlands, riverine forests, floodplains, open grassland, woodland, shrubland and palm savannah. The twice-daily game drives, bush walks or boat excursion, all guided by highly-skilled guides, allow you explore each of these ecosystems and their unique plant and animal life. Night drives provide an enticing glimpse into the nocturnal life on the Delta.
